Southern park Season 27, episode 3 has already been delayed for a week thanks to a break scheduled in the calendar, but to judge by the trailer for the first look, this was worth the wait. It is reintroduced the towel, the towel that speaks saw for the first time in season 5. This time, it is ready to face the National Guard as it visits Washington DC – and I already fear what will happen.
After his first controversial and a second episode showing that US Interior Security Kristi Noem is shooting in an animal store, the Paramount + program does not hold anything against the current US government. Unsurprisingly, the start of season 27 attracted a lot of public criticism from those presented, which now includes a bare version of Donald Trump and a much smaller version of JD Vance. If anything, going to Towelie’s perspective is an incredibly intelligent decision.
While we don’t know what’s going on yet Southern park Season 27 Episode 3 other than the initial teaser of the towel leaving a bus in front of the American Capitol (which you can see below), a speaking towel cannot be taken as seriously as any human character seen in the face of political parodies. However, longtime fans of the show will understand how much the towel could do any damage … And frankly, I fear it.
Towlie heads for Washington DC in South Park Season 27 Episode 3, and it’s dangerous
“SICKOFANCY”: Towlie goes to Washington, the 27th season of DCSOUTH PARK continues this Wednesday August 20 at 10/9C on COMEDY CENTRAL and the next day on Paramount +. pic.twitter.com/hvzao5ii4dAugust 20, 2025
In his initial description of a character who is on the South Park Fandom, the towel “has generally been seen appeared from nowhere to give the napkin advice to the citizens of South Park or to rise.” If there has never been a reasonable decision taken by anyone living in South Park, I have not yet seen it, and my best estimate tells me that any advice given to our political parodies will fall into the ear of a deaf or degenerate the situation. As you can see on the clip above, the National Guard was deployed in the heart of Washington DC, President Trump also deploys troops in the capital in real life on August 11, 2025.
There are necessarily references to the insurrection of the American Capitol of January 6, 2021, in particular given the famous DC museum that the Smithsonian changed the formulation of an exhibition on August 8 to retract Trump’s involvement in the incentive to violence. In short, this is the hottest national subject Southern park Could have chosen to illustrate, and no one surely comes out on the other side unharmed.
Maybe I am too pessimistic and the towel will simply be able to reconnect with its toilet glove for a long time lost against the backdrop of tanks and soldiers deployed, showing it the city’s cultural offers before something more changed. But let’s face it, that’s not what we are doing here. Since the towel is almost always high, you bet the best than Washington DC views on marijuana will also be presented, and perhaps we will also see others.
I will not be surprised if paramount + follows in the footsteps of episode 2 and offers another exclusive post-key scene, that is to show more content that could not be broadcast on cable television (Southern park Aire on Comedy Central) or to add new scenes that they have created since the submission at the origin of the episode. It is speculation for the moment, but I would say that it is worth keeping an eye on.
