Southwest Trolls Mavs Luka Doncic Trade in the middle of air bag costs

Southwest Airlines dragged the Dallas Mavericks for the team’s shocking decision to leave the superstar Luka Doncic.

Doncic was the masterpiece of successful trade which sent the five-time all-star to Los Angeles Lakers at the beginning of last month, to the chagrin of the majority of the franchise fans base. The MAVs received Anthony Davis, Max Chirstie and a choice of draft in exchange for Doncic and a package of other players.

“It is not as if we were exchanged by Luka …”, said the airline in an Instagram message on Thursday. The remaining photos of the position addressed the recently announced changes of the airline to its bag policy.

For more than half a century, the southwest allowed customers to check their luggage for free, but the airline was faced with a counter coupling after revealing that it would begin to apply bag costs on May 28.

The airline has not yet shared details on the quantity of travelers invoiced, although the costs for a third bag checked are listed at $ 150 on the Southwest website.

Shortly after Donic was exchanged at the Lakers, the fans were seen in a MAVS home match on February 10 with display signs that said “Fire Nico”. The sign of the panel refers to Dallas Managing Director, Nico Harrison. Several fans have been ejected from the match, an official of the team citing the NBA conduct code.

“In the first incident, the guest brought a sign that broke the following rule included in the NBA code of conduct: clothing, clothing or panels displaying explicit language, blasphemy or derogatory characterization towards any person (s),” said the vice-president of Mavericks business communications, Erin Finegold, in a press release.

Mark Cuban, who sold his majority participation in the franchise in 2023, then invited a fan ejected to sit on the field during a future Mavericks match.

Dononic reacted to the trade by saying that it was initially in a state of disbelief.

“You can imagine how surprised I was,” he said on February 4. “I had to check if it was April 1. I didn’t really believe it.”

He won his first score title last season before leading the Mavs to the NBA final. In addition to its five appearances in the NBA All-Star Game, Donci is also a selection of all-NBA five times.
