Spider-Man: A Whole New Day is scheduled to hit theaters on July 31. And, with the first trailer for Spider-Man 4 officially releasing tomorrow, March 18, it’s the perfect time to find out who will be appearing in the film.
Below you’ll find a full list of actors confirmed to be part of the ensemble of the new Marvel movie. I’ll discuss who each will play – or could play, if their character’s identity hasn’t been publicly disclosed – and where you might have seen them before.

Tom Holland as Peter Parker/Spider-Man
The first is a standout that needs no introduction, but I’m going to give it one anyway.
With six appearances in the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU) under his belt, Holland will return as Parker and his super-powered alias. Following its latest release in 2021 Spider-Man: No Way Homewhich was the hard reset that Spidey needed in the MCU, we will find that the eponymous character has returned to his heroic friendly neighborhood roots. However, everything else about the plot of this film is being kept under wraps.
In addition to playing Spider-Man, Holland has appeared in Apple TV projects Cherry And The crowded roomSony’s live-action Unexplored films and other big screen productions like The devil all the time, AheadAnd Walk in chaos. Next up for Holland is a supporting role in Christopher Nolan’s historical epic The Odysseywhich comes out a week before Brand new day.
Zendaya as Michelle ‘MJ’ Jones
Peter Parker’s love interest from his first three solo MCU films, MJ is also in this Marvel Phase 6 film. Zendaya, the Dutch cinema megastar, will return as the character, although it is unclear what role she will play in Brand new day.
With a sizable catalog of her own, Zendaya is another star that audiences will instantly recognize. In addition to appearing in Spider-Man 4she will reprise her role as Rue in Euphoria season 3, which debuts on HBO Max on April 12, and co-stars in the A24 film The dramawhich will be released in theaters on April 3. Later this year, she will return as Chani in Dune: Part Threealso, with the next installment of the sci-fi epic releasing on December 18.
Jacob Batalon as Ned Leeds
The third and final member of the MCU’s first group Spiderman The main trio of the film trilogy, Batalon is expected to play Ned Leeds, that is to say Peter’s former best friend. Like Zendaya, it’s unclear if Batalon will have a big role to play or if Leeds will simply make an appearance.
Batalon was recently seen in the Prime Video action comedy The demolition team. Other productions he has appeared in include Syfy’s Reginald the Vampireat Lionsgate Novocainethat of Sony Tarotand that of Netflix Elevator.
Sadie Sink as TBC
An actress whose star has grown exponentially since her first appearance as Max Mayfield in season 2 of the Netflix megahit Stranger ThingsSink will make his MCU debut in Brand new day.
There have been many – and I mean one plot – discussions about the identity of his character since Sink joined the cast of Spider-Man 4 last March as well. From iconic X-Men member Jean Gray and the monstrous entity Shathra, to a character linked to The Punisher (more on him shortly) and even another MJ in the form of Peter Parker’s longtime love interest Mary Jane Watson, no one knows who Sink is playing. Hopefully we’ll finally know who it is Brand new daythe first teaser.
Apart Stranger ThingsSink also featured in the Netflix series Fear Street film series, as well as The Whale, Dear Zoe, OdessaAnd American Odyssey.
Jon Bernthal as Frank Castle/The Punisher
Last seen portraying the fan-favorite anti-hero in Daredevil: Born Againfirst season, Bernthal’s The Punisher will finally make the big leap to the big screen in Spider-Man 4.
Speculation abounds that he will be tasked with protecting the unnamed Sink individual, so it will be interesting to see how he fits into Brand new daythe broader narrative of .
After getting her big break in AMC’s adaptation of The Walking DeadBernthal is now best known for playing Castle in Netflix’s Defenders-Verse and, more recently, in the MCU. He also appeared in Hulu’s hit comedy-drama series. The bear, The accountant 2, American gigolo, The Many Saints of NewarkAnd Baby driver among many others. His last major role came in the Netflix thriller His and hersand he is expected to appear alongside Holland in The Odyssey when it hits theaters on July 24. At some point this year, he will also star in a special presentation of the Punisher’s MCU on Disney+.
Mark Ruffalo as Bruce Banner/Hulk
Another Marvel veteran with numerous MCU appearances on his extensive resume, Ruffalo is expected to play a supporting role as Banner and his gamma-irradiated superpowered alias. Again, there’s nothing official to report on the Avenger’s likely role in Spider-Man: A Whole New Daybut perhaps we will soon have a clue or two.
Academy Award nominee Ruffalo is a well-known name who has appeared in numerous films and television shows. Marvin Jones III as Lonnie Lincoln/Tombstone
A September 2025 report found that Brand new dayTombstone’s first official villain will be – and it has been confirmed that Jones III, aka Krondon, will play the character. This is Jones III’s second time portraying Tombstone, having previously voiced him in the 2018 animated offering. Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse.
With Spider-Man 4 is expected to feature numerous villains, it is unclear which of them will be the film’s big bad. However, industry insiders suggest that Tombstone will be the main antagonist, so we’ll see if that’s the case when the first teaser drops.
Jones III won’t be a familiar face to everyone, but he did play a role in Paramount+’s live-action version of the iconic video game series HaloThe CWs Black Lightningand Lionsgate Shadow Force.
Michael Mando as Mac Gargan/Scorpio
After his one and only appearance in the MCU – a brief appearance in Spider-Man: HomecomingMid-credits scene – Mando returns as one of Spidey’s most notorious enemies, Mac Gargan, aka Scorpion.
Rumored to reprise his role as Gargan last May, Mando confirmed his involvement via Instagram in late 2025. Then, in February, he leaked concept art for Spider-Man 4 revealed that Scorpion would appear, although fans weren’t wowed by his redesigned costume. Either way, expect him to take on secondary villain duties.
Best known for playing Nacho in You better call SaulMando’s other works include Black Orphan, King IvoryAnd The Ramville Blues.
Tramell Tillman as TBC
An actor who broke into the mainstream when he appeared in Apple TV Original BreakupTillman would have been chosen for Spider-Man: A Whole New Day as yet another mysterious character.
Rumors are swirling that he was hired to play the head of the Department of Damage Control (DoDC), aka the US government-funded agency responsible for monitoring superhumans. But, as always, we’re waiting for more details, with the trailer possibly shedding some light on whether that will be the case.
Elsewhere, Tillman has starred in television projects Diet Country, Hit the monkeyAnd Godfather of Harlem. More recently he was seen in Mission: Impossible – The final settlement.
Liza Colón-Zayas as to be confirmed
Complete Spider-Man 4The confirmed cast of is Colón-Zayas. Again, there’s no official word on who she will play, but gossip columns indicate that her character will be an ally of Spider-Man.
A performer who became known thanks to her second leading role in The bearColón-Zayas also appeared in Law and order, in processing, IF, The Purge: Election YearAnd Allswell in New York.
