When Spotify added the Create button to the application bar in the application, it was very badly received and music fans begged it to delete it, mainly because it spoils muscle memory. Now it seems that Spotify listens to these complaints.
A few weeks ago, Android Authority reported that Spotify could publish a new rocking parameter that would allow you to delete the Create Navigation bar button at the bottom of the screen. It was initially speculation, but now a number of users have shared images on Reddit showing a new switch under the header of “display preferences” in Spotify settings. But not everyone has access to it – including me.
Although Spotify has not made an official announcement, online speech suggests that the music streaming service could gradually deploy it because a handful of users already have access. However, despite the absence of the new functionality of my application, the Creation button has disappeared from my interface (see below). It was confusing, so I went to Reddit to see what the others had to say.
Is this the end of one of Spotify’s most boring features?
What do we know so far? Well, although Spotify is silent on the question, the evidence of Reddit reveals that this functionality slowly joins the ecosystem of the parameters for certain users of Spotify. The post below reveals it, which shows the new functionality seated in the “Content and display” section in the parameters under “display preferences”.

But why would Spotify delete the Create button from my application without giving me access to the drop in deactivation? According to the answers I have received, this suggests that a new Spotify update could be in progress.
At the moment, I am using version 9.0.64, which, according to the App Store, is the most recent. Although this is the case for many people here in Techradar, most people on the team always see the Create button in the navigation bar, which is not the case for me. That said, a user with the function shared on Reddit that he uses version 9.0.64.608 – which means that Spotify could test different versions of the application before deciding to go ahead with a deployment.
If you are still waiting to have access to the new feature, I was advised to wait for another day or two before waiting for me when it arrives, so for the moment, that’s what I drive. In the meantime, we have contacted Spotify to confirm and update this story if we hear.
