- Spotify is gearing up for Wrapped by rolling out a new “Listening Stats” tab that shows you your top songs and artists from the past four weeks.
- Updated every 24 hours, your statistics give you a deeper insight into your streaming habits and offer new recommendations.
- You’ll also get a “special highlight,” which could be a milestone, a new discovery, or a fact about your listening habits.
Spotify Wrapped 2025 is looming, and one of the best music streaming services just released the perfect warm-up for the music wrap-up event of the year: say hello to listening stats, offering new insights into your weekly listening habits.
Now rolling out to Free and Premium users in over 60 global markets, the new Listening Insights feature displays your top artists and songs from the past four weeks in the sidebar of your homepage. Your statistics are updated every 24 hours and will offer you new recommendations based on your listening behaviors.
Besides being able to see your top artists and songs in real time, you’ll also find new playlists based on what you’ve listened to recently. Spotify also shared that each week you’ll get what it describes as a “special highlight,” which can be anything from a milestone, a new discovery, or a fact about your personal listening habits.
With Spotify Wrapped just a few weeks away, the listening stats perfectly set the mood for Spotify’s year-end recap, which breaks the internet every December. Spotify also shared that listening stats are not only designed to show you what you’ve streamed the most, but also to bring you closer to the music you already love.
In its blog post announcing the new feature, Spotify says it’s “always finding new ways to bring you closer to the music that moves you, transforming sound into something personal.” From playlists that match your mood to tracks that take you back, your story unfolds one song at a time, wherever you are,” adding that “it’s all about exploring your unique musical tastes and maybe discovering something new along the way, just like you do with Spotify Daylist, Release Radar and Discover Weekly.”
For the moment, you can’t see your minutes listened to in the new statistics tab, but it’s still early. Spotify tends to build on new features over time, so it could be that Spotify plans to add them at a later date. We’ve reached out to Spotify for more information and it says it will keep us informed of any feature updates.
