Square Enix announced that Final Fantasy 7 Remake Intergrade will receive a free update for PlayStation 5 and PC, the same day the Nintendo Switch 2 and Xbox editions are released.
The studio shared the news today in a new social media post, confirming that the PS5 and PC patch will arrive on January 22 to coincide with the launch of the Switch 2, Xbox Series X, and Xbox Series S versions of the game.
This patch is expected to introduce Streamlined Progression, a feature initially announced only for Switch 2 and Xbox.
In-game assist essentially maximizes players’ HP and MP, providing a major advantage in combat and ensuring they can’t die.
Damage dealt to enemies is also maxed out at 9,999, Limit and ATB gauges will be filled, and players will also be able to earn the maximum number of certain items. The maximum Materia levels, 2x EXP and 3x AP will also be given.
“After announcing the simplified progression for FFVII Remake, we received many requests to bring the update to PC and PS5 as well,” director Naoki Hamaguchi said in an X/Twitter post.
“In response to this, we have decided to roll out the update to all platforms, alongside the launch of the Switch2 and Xbox versions. I can’t wait for even more players to experience it.”
