Good news, colleagues Warriors of Light: Square Enix has just announced the official dates for Final Fantasy 14’s Fan Festival 2026.
In case you are new in the popular MMORPG, or you are generally unknown, fan festival (generally shortened in “ fan fest ”) is a bi-annual convention in person intended to celebrate everything Final Fantasy 14. You can generally expect challenges related to games, musical performance, cosplay and others.
More importantly, however, it is that the developer Creative Studio 3 – including the Director of Game Naoki Yoshida – generally reveals the first details of Final Fantasy 14’s Next expansion at the Fan Fest. So, whether you are going in person or not, you will certainly want to connect if you are a fan of the game.
The first holiday events of fans of next year must take place at the Anaheim Convention Center in Anaheim, California, the United States, April 24, 2026. The second is three months later in Messe Berlin, Germany, July 25. Finally, Makuhari Messe de Tokyo will host the last of the three fan festivals October 31. Fantasmagoric!

As a rule, each festival of fans gradually reveals more information on Final Fantasy 14’s Upcoming expansion. If the events of next year follow similar models, we may expect preliminary information and a drop in title to the American Convention. More detailed information, including new areas, jobs (read: classes), extended bands and an release date will then be revealed during European and Japanese events.
Although we do not know the official release date of the next extension for a while, we can speculate on the basis of Tokyo Giving Fan Fest, for the current major expansion of the game. This took place on January 7, 2024, the expansion being launched approximately six months later on July 2.
With the next Tokyo Fan Fest broadcast from October 31 to 1 Final Fantasy 14’s Next expansion until mid-2027. It would be a horrible time to wait, so I hope that we can expect to play it a little earlier than what we could think.
