- A popular spy software company has undergone data violation
- Almost 2 million Spyx files have been compromised
- The software monitors devices without users knowing or consent
A widely used Stalkerware of Stalkerware was used by a data violation in 2024, millions of potentially affected customers.
A Techcrunch The report claims that the beach affected the Spyx and two related mobile applications, which concerns information of nearly 2 million people, including 17,000 Apple iCloud skills.
Apparently, neither the spyware targets nor the software customers have never been informed of the violation, which would have taken place in June 2024.
Spyx violation
Spyx is called the “best phone surveillance application” and provides “recording, video, audio and screen in real time” of the target device.
It is marketing as a “parental control” service and works stealthily, running without notifications or icons, so that a target could be completely unconscious of the invasive software installed on their device.
IP addresses, email addresses, device information, 6-digit pins and iCloud identification information is probably used to monitor targets via the cloud. This violation is the 25th mobile surveillance software for having suffered a violation or a victim or user data exposed since 2017, Techcrunch Notes, leaving anyone affected in serious danger of identity theft, fraud or simply a real threat to his private life.
The existence and legitimization of spy software endangers victims and users, because these malware tools can be easily injected but are incredibly difficult to detect. In July 2024, millions of Spyware customers were exposed in a huge violation and sensitive information was compromised.
Spy software, or Stalkerware, allows users who buy the software Install the application on devices belonging to children, employees or partners (or to anyone to whom they have access), without the knowledge or their consent.
Although these applications are designed to be undetectable, there are signs that you may have infected, like a device being unusually slow, crashing at random and more often, or a sudden increase in advertisements and pop-ups.
