While the horn sounds, several players from the stars and oilers mixed it with Center Ice. The broadcast caught the defender of Edmonton Corey Perry after having stars La Recruue Lian Bischel. Perry seemed to make fun of the player after the officials broke the fray.
Dallas left the ice with an advance of 1-0 in the series on Edmonton.
The stars head coach, Pete Deboer, was satisfied with how the team was able to enjoy the power game. Dallas had been 0 for 14 in six qualifying games against the Oilers.
“I did not feel 40 minutes that we had made (the Oilers) to win the position in which they were. So, the guys answered. We were lucky. We obtained electric game goals,” said Deboer. “Happy for our power game. It took a lot of warmth last year at this stage of the year. It was the difference this evening for us, so it’s great.”

Dallas has become the second team since 1934 to have three power goals in the first six minutes of an eliminatory period. The New York Rangers did it in match 1 of the Eastern Conference final against Montreal Canadians in 2014.
“The first power game we had was a bit like the rest of our game. Our execution was a little offbeat, we did not make big games with the washer, we did not have much support,” said Deboer. “I thought that in the third, we came out and we executed. I think you never know when this switch will leave.
“Obviously, being at home here for this match, we get this first goal, the crowd takes place, the momentum moves very quickly. This is the advantage of being at home here for match 1.”
