- Star Field could finally arrive on PS5
- Leaker claims game will launch on April 7, 2026
- It is claimed that there will be Standard and Premium editions
New leak suggests Bethesda one Star Field could finally have a release date on PlayStation 5 following long-standing rumors.
This is revealed by reliable leaker “Billbil-kun” from French media outlet Dealabs, who reports that the Xbox-exclusive space role-playing game (RPG) will officially launch on April 7, 2026 on PS5.
They claim that Starfield will be available in Standard and Premium editions, but could not provide details on what they will include. They would cost £44.99/€49.99 and £59.99/€69.99 respectively.
They also noted that the PS5 version would not offer an early access period for pre-ordering, unlike the original Xbox and PC editions.
No further information was provided by their source, who the leaker said “hasn’t always been reliable in the past,” but hinted that Microsoft plans to release pre-orders between March 17 and 18, which is a few weeks from now.
“It remains to be seen whether this deadline will coincide with the official announcement of the game’s release on PS5,” they specify.
Star Field launched in 2023 and subsequently received several updates alongside the Broken space expansion. There are also rumors that the second major expansion will arrive this year and will be titled Star born.
The PS5 version has long been rumored, as well as a Nintendo Switch 2 edition. This wouldn’t be surprising, considering Microsoft’s ongoing cross-platform push and the fact that former Xbox boss Phil Spencer hasn’t ruled out the idea of Star Field come to PlayStation when asked last year.
It is also claimed that the game will receive a major update this year alongside the PS5 version, which will add improvements to the spaceflight loading screens and the creation engine.
