Start of work on the N-25 highway

ISLAMABAD:

Communications Minister Abdul Aleem Khan announced on Thursday that construction of a major highway linking Karachi to Quetta and Chaman, financed by a special tax on petroleum products, had officially begun.

Chairing a meeting at the NHA, the minister reviewed the pace of ongoing projects in Balochistan, including the M-8, which is crucial for improving connectivity with Gwadar port.

During the meeting, the minister was also briefed about security issues and other aspects related to the construction activities of NHA in Balochistan.
