Sterling gave his brother his golden jacket long awaited on Saturday. The gesture occurred years after his brother gave him a Super Bowl ring, which he described as “the most precious gift I have ever received”.
Sterling retired after the 1994 NFL season. Three seasons later, the Denver Broncos defeated the packers in the Super Bowl XXXII. The victory obtained the first Shannon championship ring. He offered his older brother the coveted ring of the Super Bowl, before winning two other titles in the next three years.

During his speech on Saturday, Sterling recognized the special link he shared with his younger brother. “Everything I did athletics, everything, I did for an audience of one,” said Sterling. “I didn’t want this person to look outside our own table to find a model.”
The renowned temple turner
Shannon was inducted into the fame of fame in 2011. At the time, he said that his older brother was the best football player between the two.
“The last time I was here, you said that you were the only professional football player in the renown temple who might say that, that you were the second best player in your own family. Well, I agree with this declaration …”, joked Sterling.
“It would be my extreme pleasure that you are the only player in the renowned temple of professional football with two gold jackets.”
The Sharpe brothers have become the first duet of brothers and sisters in the history of the NFL to be registered in the temple of the fame of professional football.
In a pre -recorded video played before Sterling took the podium, Shannon praised his brother for playing a physical football style.

“He wanted to express punishment, just as they were going to try to punish him.”
The eldest Sharpe has spent his entire vegetable career with packers, winning the All-Pro honors three times and leading the NFL by receiving touch twice. He was also the first player in the history of the League to finish consecutive seasons with more than 100 receptions.
