Sting hopes that drummer Lionel Duke ‘will do it’

Sting has just sent a message of support to the drummer of Christians, Lionel Duke, who suffered a cardiac arrest on stage.

The former police chief played Liverpool at the festival on the seafront at Pier Head, marking his first performance in the city since 1979.

Earlier the same day, the popular group of the 80s played on the same scene and AFT4R only two songs, Lionel collapsed with the Man, Garry Christian before calling for the help of emergency services.

Shortly after, a group spokesperson confirmed to the public that Lionel had probably suffered from cardiac arrest.

“We really hope he will get there,” said the spokesman, adding: “He didn’t have pulse, he has one now, we think. Thank you very much.”

An article on the Christians Facebook page has read: “We are waiting for news from the Heart and Chest hospital on Broad Green and thank the phenomenal team of doctors present from the Waterfront Liverpool team who intervened so quickly to help our poor Lionel. Please send positive vibrations that way. ”

Christians supported Sting in full capacity for a gentle transition to its headliner and when the Shape of my Heart The singer finally went on stage, he shared a few words on the state of Lionel Duke.

“The drummer of the group before is OK,” said Sting to the crowd, adding: “He is in the hospital. We all pray for him to go well. Our thoughts are with him.”
