Islamabad / Rawalpindi / Shangla:
Torrential rains accompanied by storms and hail have wreaked havoc in several regions of Punjab and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa as well as Islamabad on Wednesday, claiming at least three lives, injuring several others and damaging cultures, houses and infrastructure.
The hailstorm, accompanied by strong winds, whipped several cities and districts, which has alarms on the mercurial and volatile meteorological model.
Three people lost their lives while eight injuries were injured in the incidents of walls caused by strong precipitation and storms in Rawalpindi and Jhelum.
In Tehsil Sohawa from Jhelum, the torrential rain led to three separate wall incidents. In the locality of Shahidan, a Dera wall collapsed on a charger vehicle, killing two individuals on the spot and injuring four others.
The injured were moved to a Rawalpindi hospital, where the state of two remains critical.
In another incident in the Pindi Darwaza region, a woman was seriously injured after a wall yielded. A third collapse occurred in Sohala, a nearby locality, injuring a child and a young man.
In the jurisdiction of the Police of Ratta Amral of Rawalpindi, the limited wall of a mosque collapsed, buried a 24 -year -old named Musa under the debris. Musa, a resident of the colony of Hazara, died on site. His body was moved to a hospital.
A powerful storm swept Islamabad, lasting about 35 minutes and to trigger heavy rain and large creases which broke the windshields of vehicles and the trees of branches and leaves. In Tarnol, several trees were uprooted, disturbing traffic and causing a brief chaos on the roads.
Situation similar to a flood in KP
In Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, heavy rains accompanied by thunder and lightning struck various districts, causing an overflow of streams and drains.
In the Landi Kotal and the surroundings of Khyber, powerful winds, hail and intense precipitation brought a welcome temperature drop. However, the sudden floods flooded several parts of the Pak-Afghan motorway, disturbing traffic. In an incident, Landi Kotal flood waters have swept a vehicle parked in the main bazaar. Fortunately, no victim has been reported.
Precipitation also struck the lower dir, where the showers broke the heat wave, which makes time pleasant. However, heavy rains caused floods in the streams and the water level in the Panjkora river increased considerably. The food was disrupted as several feeders stumbled.
In Takht Bhai, thick dark clouds have been transformed by day into dusk in the shape of a twilight while strong precipitation continued in the region.
