But if you want to receive an early Christmas present, Netflix has released the official trailer for Stranger Things season 5, volume 2, to give you a preview of the sequel to one of the best Netflix shows.

What does season 5 of Stranger Things have in store for us?
Stranger Things Season 5, Volume 2, consists of three episodes airing simultaneously at 5 p.m. PT / 8 p.m. ET. The grand finale, volume 3, comes out on New Year’s Eve at the same time.
As you can see from the trailer, a big storm is coming, with the expected (or feared?) return of Vecna, and some dramatic scenes referencing the Upside Down with a very suitable soundtrack as well.
Most worrying of all, the trailer may have hinted that two fan favorites could end up dying during the fifth and final season. Maybe I’m reading into things, but this series has given me some serious trust issues (justice to Barb, honestly).
In the Stranger Things season 5, trailer for volume 2, we see Steve Harrington (Joe Keery) solemnly telling Dustin Henderson (Gaten Matarazzo): “If you die, I die”. It could simply be a dramatic promise, or perhaps a hint of something more sinister.
It looks like we’re about to learn a lot more about the Upside Down and its unwelcome inhabitants, and we only have four more episodes left to see what happens to our favorite characters. I don’t know about you, but I’m feeling nervous.
Volume 2, however, opens on a good note, with The Shawshank RedemptionDirector Frank Darabont directs the first episode. Let’s hope he doesn’t break our hearts in the process.
