Strong 6.1 Quake of magnitude strikes northern Nepal

On Friday, a powerful high Magality earthquake in the north of Nepal, near Kathmandu, said the national surveillance and research center of the land of earthquakes.

The earthquake struck around Bhairab Kunda from the Sindhapalchok district in Nepal.

The German research center for geosciences has placed the extent of the earthquake at 5.6 and depth at 10 km (6.21 miles).

There was no immediate report of damage or victims of the earthquake.

“This has strongly shaken us with our sleep,” the Nepalese Ganesh, a senior district of the Sindhupalchok district, told Reuters. “We rushed outside the house. People have now returned to the houses. We have not received any reports of damage or injuries so far.”
