Students dominate the intermediate results in Karachi

The Karachi Intermediate Education Board of Directors (BIEK) announced on Tuesday the results of the 2025 annual exams for the second -year domestic economy and the special candidates groups (regular arts), the students obtaining all the main positions in the two categories.

Biek president FAQER Muhammad Lakho officially declared the results and shared details of the best performers of the two groups.

In the domestic economy group, Erum Faisal (Roll No 2045), Rana Liaquat Ali Khan Government College of Home Economics, obtained the first position with 1,054 points out of 1,200, winning an A-1 year.

The second position was claimed by Imaan Hashmi (Roll No 2044), which scored 988 points with an A-1 note, while Shanza Nayab (Roll No 2135) obtained third position with 980 points, also obtaining an A-1 note.

In the special candidates group (regular arts), Syeda Fariha (Roll no 995539) by Dewa Higher Secondary School took first place with 960 points out of 1,100, reaching an A-1 year.

The second position went to Barira Islam (Roll no 995533), also of Dewa, which scored 925 points with an A-1 note. IMAAN AL SHAMS (ROLL No 995502) of the Ida-Rieu and College school for the third deaf position obtained with 920 points, also winning an A-1 year.

Sharing more details, the examination controller Zarina Rashid said that in the domestic economy group, a total of 198 candidates signed up for the exams, 189 of which appeared and 112 succeeded, which led to a percentage of success of 59.26.

Among the candidates selected, nine A-1 notes obtained, 24 received notes, 30 reached notes B, 31, classes C have obtained the secure notes.

In the special candidates (regular arts) group, 116 candidates registered, 114 of whom appeared in the exams. Among these, 103 candidates were declared successful, marking a percentage of success of 90.35. Nineteen candidates received A-1 notes, 55 obtained notes of 27, 27 notes B and two notes won.
