Surfshark reaffirmed his commitment to confidentiality and transparency with the publication of his second software insurance report on June 16, 2025.
Already assessed as one of the best VPNs in Techradar, this is the second time that Surfshark has worked with Deloitte to verify his commitment to the confidentiality of user in audit his non-log policy.
Why the verification of non-logicial surfhark policies is important
Surfshark invited Deloitte to audit his declaration of non-logs for the first time in 2023, illustrating the gravity with which he took the confidentiality of users.
However, a second non-compliance insurance report in 2025 “demonstrates the proactive surfhark approach to privacy,” said Donatas Budvytis, director of surfhark technology.
This is a welcome update in an industry where many VPN suppliers have not yet proven their own complaints without software. Some VPNs, in particular free VPN services, retain newspapers. In some cases, these may contain personal identification information, by putting user data and confidentiality in danger.
It is only recently that Chiara Castro from Techradar reported that some 17 free VPN applications found in Google and Apple application stores had links with China. VPNs operating in China are subject to strict data retention and may be forced to share data with the Chinese government on request.
The Surfhark decision to make Deloitte, one of the four major audit companies, throws a second overview of its non-logs policy provides substantial credibility and, as Budvytis explains, “a great confirmation of privacy and transparency to our current and future users”.
This also proves surfhark claims that he does not monitor user activity or does not hold newspapers from their activities. The fact that this is a second independent verification shows that this is a continuous commitment on the part of Surfhark, and not just one-off.
Here’s what Deloitte looked
The independent audit of Deloitte ensures that the Policy of Surfhark non-logs has been properly implemented.
As part of his evaluation, Deloitte examined internal systems and processes, conducted interviews with Surfshark staff and examined supporting evidence.
Deloitte examined the standard, static and multipored surfhark servers while analyzing how these servers are configured and deployed. The confidentiality parameters and the operational procedures have been closely inspected to ensure that they align themselves with the confidentiality commitments of Surfshark.
In the end, Deloitte confirmed that the non-local policy is applied in a coherent manner in all relevant surfhark infrastructures.

Which VPN suppliers have their non-loss-free non-lobrithm policies?
Surfshark is not the only VPN supplier to have submitted his non-logicia policy to an independent audit.
NordVPN had its complaints without software by PWC in 2018 and 2020 checked before having made independent exams of Deloitte in 2022, 2023 and 2025.
The VPN which has undergone more audits than most is ExpressVPN, after having published 19 third -party audit reports to date.
