Vehicle:
A suspect was killed while two managed to escape during an alleged police meeting between the vehicle of the Crime Control Department (CCD) and the thieves.
A pistol was recovered from the deceased suspect. According to a spokesperson for the CCD, the meeting took place near the Pakpattan canal at Pul 16-WB yesterday as part of the effective operations in progress against criminal elements.
During the exchange, a thief was killed while his two accomplices managed to escape. CCD spokesperson Chaudhry Amjad said that the CCD team was routine’s patrol when three thieves suddenly opened the blind fire by seeing the official vehicle near Pul 16-WB. The CCD team returned fire to self -defense.
The fire exchange lasted for several minutes, causing a seriously injured thief. The team apprehended the injured thief Umar Daraz, but he died of his injuries on the spot.
