It is a new look in ACC for university football while Bill Belichick becoming the new coach of Caroline du Nord shakes things up in one of the best conferences in the country.
Dabo Swinney, the longtime head coach of Clemson Tigers, described the conference as playing the “New England Patriots”, which includes the former coach of the Patriots Bill O’Brien as a new leader of Boston College on the sidelines.
Swinney and Belichick had a joint interview with Espn Davis, where he admitted that he was not too worried about the accomplished coach of the NFL who joins the ranks of the college.

In fact, Swinney joked saying that he had a “secret sauce” to beat the Tar heels when they saw each other on October 4 on the road.
Ryan Allen, coach of Clemson specialists, was the former bettor of Belichick on the Patriots.

“We are going to rely on him to understand how to defeat the booty kotté bootté team or anything else,” said Swinney about Allen.
After the Tigers faced the Tar heels, they will have to see the Eagles of O’Brien the following week.
“We play the New England Patriots this year,” said Swinney. “We are going to North Carolina, then we go to Boston College to play Bill O’Brien. So I feel like I am playing the whole organization of patriots in about two weeks there.”

While a UNC team led by Belichick poses a new challenge for ACC, Clemson has managed them since Swinney took over in 2018. The Tigers beat the Tar Heels 14 times during this period, including their last match in 2023 – a 31-20 victory for Clemson.
Meanwhile, Belichick hopes to take the UNC defeat of defeats against Clemson, which is six games. In their last 10 games, the Tar Heels are 1-9.
Clemson went 10-4 last season in the 16th season of Swinney as a chief coach, reaching the enlarged playoffs of university football. They ended up losing against Texas, 38-24, in the first round to finish their season.

The Tigers return the quarter-Arrière Cade Klubnik, which had a year of career under Swinney in 2024. They also added Tom Allen of Penn State in the transfer portal.
ESPN ranked Clemson in the 11th row in the general classification in its pre-season survey.
