Symbiotic reveals external awards to stimulate shared security

Symbiotic, a universal ignition protocol and an Eigenlayer competitor, introduced external rewards, a feature designed to allow networks to offer their own incentives based on tokens to stakers and node operators.

The new feature, introduced Wednesday, marks a step in the Symbiotic thrust to make shared security a default functionality on modular blockchain ecosystems.

The external awards give protocols a way to distribute tokens or native points directly through the symbiotic platform, superimposing these incentives alongside symbiotic points – the economic coordination mechanism of the protocol. The objective is to help Bootstrap networks security, attract capital and develop incentive models without reconstructing basic infrastructure. All rewards appear in an interface, giving stakers and contributors a complete view of their economic participation between networks.

“This launch is a central moment for Symbiotic and the wider shared security ecosystem,” said Misha Puatiatin, co -founder of Symbiotic, in a press release shared with Coindesk. “Shared security is something that we have built regularly, and external awards are proof of this work work. Each new primitive or functionality that we ship strengthen the bases for others. ”

Several protocols already use external rewards. Hyperlan, the interoperability protocol, is enriching stakers fixing its transverse chain roads with $ hyper tokens.

Symbiotic’s universal implementation framework currently supports everything, liquid restraint assets such as ETH with hybrid and native stimulation models. By unifying the rewards and incentives to security under a single platform, symbiotic wants to become a cryptoeconomic coordination layer for a modular ecosystem.

“The launch of external awards is based on Symbiotic’s mission to make the universal layer of the cryptoeconomic coordination layer for the modular multi -hole infrastructure,” the team wrote in a press release.
