- The T-Satellite service of T-Mobile is now available for more applications

T-Mobile offers its customers starlink connectivity to its customers, and the T-Satellite service gives you a way to contact people and connect to the Internet when mobile data is not available. It has been updated to add satellite connectivity to a suite of popular applications, making them more usable when you are out of the grid and far from cell towers.
By publishing on his blog, T-Mobile announced that several applications will feel the advantages. This includes Alltrails, Accuweather, Caltopo, Google Maps, Onx, T -Life, Whatsapp and X. which extends the number of applications that can press the satellite service, and these options join several device applications – such as Apple Music, Google Messages, Pixel Weather and more – which were already compatible.
And the improvements did not just come from the software, because T-Mobile added 17 additional phones which will now work with T-Satellite. This includes Apple’s iPhone Air and the third generation iPhone SE, the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 6 and the Ultra Galaxy S25, and more. Note that when you are connected to a satellite, it is unlikely that you get the complete experience to which you are used to these applications. In most cases, your connection will probably be slower than when you are on mobile or Wi-Fi data, and certain features may be unavailable.
T-Satellite is included in T-Mobile’s experience beyond the following plans and Go5G. If you are on a different level or if you are a customer of a Rival cell supplier, you can still register at $ 10 per month. You must also have a smartphone capable of connecting to the satellites, which includes the iPhone 13 or subsequent version, the Samsung Galaxy S21 or later, and the Google Pixel 9a or later (the support of the Pixel 9 is “to come”, says T-Mobile).
Something won, something lost
This is not all good news for T-Mobile customers. At the same time as it extended its T-Satellite, T-Mobile and Google offer discreetly abandoned an exclusive level of membership of Google One which included full-resolution image storage in Google Photos.
This offer has enabled T-Mobile customers to access a special Google Photos advantage when subscribing to Google One membership via their cell supplier. Usually, paying $ 9.99 per month would allow you 2 TO of total storage on Google servers.
If you register via T -Mobile, however, this would be supplemented by unlimited storage of Google photos – in full resolution, no less. There were also lower levels which came with additional storage compared to the regular offer of Google One.
Unfortunately, these offers are no longer available for new customers, on September 30. If you are a current user of this service, you can continue to use it, provided you do not cancel it.
