- T-Mobile introduces satellite coverage in his plans in July
- The T-Satellite service is now in beta version and free to try
- Most modern phones are compatible
T-Mobile has launched a beta version nationally for its new satellite phone service, allowing users to stay connected in areas without traditional cell coverage.
Called T-Satellite, the function automatically connects when you are out of the range of cellular networks, allowing basic connectivity in remote locations. The beta version is currently free to join and open to everyone, regardless of the carrier, until the end of July.
During the beta version, users will be able to send and receive SMS, make calls and access data via satellite. You can register for the beta version now by providing an e -mail address without special equipment required – depending on the S&C, the smartphones most moderns will be eligible.
T-Mobile plans to deploy the T-Satellite service at no additional cost with the high-end experience of the Beyond and Go5g Next Plans carrier at a time in July this year. Customers who opt in the More Plan experience now will receive satellite coverage until the end of the year.
Also available on other carriers
Interestingly, the T-Satellite service of the carrier will also be available for customers on other networks, including Verizon and AT&T.
Although the initial beta period is free, the service will be available at a launch price of $ 10 per month. According to the FAQ, this is equivalent to a saving of $ 5 / month in total. Note, during the drafting, the carrier did not confirm how long the introduction price will be available.
