Islamabad:
The Minister of State in the Interior Talal Chaudhry participated in the 2025 border security summit held in London, where he met British secretary Yvette Cooper, the British Foreign Minister Hamish Faulkner, and Angela Eagle.
Chaudhry also had discussions with interior ministers of Germany, Spain, Austria and Poland, focusing on border security and international cooperation.
During talks with British officials, Chaudhry underlined the need to limit illegal immigration and promote legal paths for migration. He congratulated the British government’s efforts to meet the challenges of immigration and expressed Pakistan’s commitment to strengthen cooperation in this regard.
British Foreign Affairs Deputy Minister Hamish Faulkner recognized the positive results of a previous meeting with the Minister of the Interior of Pakistan, Mohin Naqvi, highlighting better bilateral collaboration on security issues.
Talal Chaudhry stressed the importance of a joint strategy on border security, the fight against terrorism and the trafficking in human beings, declaring that collective action is essential to ensure a safe, legal and regulated migration.
He reiterated Pakistan’s position on global cooperation to combat illegal immigration and cross -border crimes, stressing that a complete and long -term approach is necessary to meet challenges such as illegal migration, terrorism and human trafficking.
“Under the directives of the Prime Minister and the Minister of the Interior, Pakistan remains actively engaged worldwide to combat illegal immigration, improve border security and eliminate organized crime,” said Chaudhry.
He also revealed that Pakistan had presented key proposals at the 2025 border security top, reflecting its commitment to international security and migration management.
