Islamabad:
The Minister of Information, Attaullah Tarar, threatened legal proceedings on Thursday against the protest and social media management campaigns against the visit of the chief of staff of the Asim Munnir (COAS) army in the United Kingdom .
General Munnir’s official visit marked his participation during the 7th regional stabilization conference in the Royal Military Academy, Sandhurst, where he delivered an opening discourse on “the emerging world order and the future prospects of Pakistan”.
The regional stabilization conference is an annual platform that facilitates army dialogue in the army between Pakistan and the United Kingdom, with the participation of civil and military decision-makers as well as the main tanks of reflection of the two countries .
Tarar said the whole world recognizes the professional capacities of the Pakistani army, including its officers and cadets. However, it seems that the tribute and honor granted to the chief of the army disturbed the “Tehreek-e-IntShar”.
“It looks like the way they are amazed by Pakistan’s progress under the direction of Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif,” he added.
He stressed that the law will follow its course and that measures will be taken against those who harm Pakistan’s national interests.
Tarar said that Pakistan Tehreek-e-insaf (PTI) is visibly disrupted by the recognition and respect granted to the Chief of the Staff of the Army (COAS) Asim Mnnir during his visit to the United Kingdom to the prestigious Royal Military Academy Sandhurst.
During the visit, an honorary guard was presented to the chief of the army, and the national anthem of Pakistan was played by the Royal Band in Sandhurst – an event which, according to Tarar, has further brought the position global Pakistan.
Addressing the media, the minister said that the people of Pakistan had reaffirmed their respect for the country and its armed forces by rejecting PTI’s social media campaign against them.
“This same group of disbelievers has also tried to disrupt the flow of funding from social media, but the Pakistanis abroad, being responsible citizens, continued to support the country and express their loyalty,” he said.
Tarar accused the founder of the PTI of identifying each anti-Pakistani move and working against national interests. He allegedly alleged that a group of disbelievers targeted military facilities, burned Jinnah’s house in Lahore and even commemorative monuments of martyrs who sacrificed their lives for the security of Pakistan.
He also claimed that video evidence exists proving the involvement of PTI in the May 9 incidents.
“When they tried to attack the defense of Pakistan, they essentially realized the dream of the enemy-an enemy who never dared to attack Pakistan in this way,” he noted.
Referring to the previous declarations of the founder of the PTI, Tarar alleged that he had facilitated the return of the terrorists to Pakistan.
“He openly supported the terrorists, as we can see in his speeches on international media, where he described them as” good people “and spoke of bringing them back to resettlement in Pakistan,” said the minister.
“Would it not be correct to say that the current problems of terrorism arise from the founder of the PTI, which has changed state policy to reinstall these individuals?” Questioned Tarar.
