Lahore:
The rains of torrential monsoon have flooded large parts of the country, inflating the rivers, destroying cultures and killing dozens of deaths, while the authorities warn more flood until August.
According to the division of flood forecasts, the Tarbela dam reached 99% of its capacity at 1,549.20 feet, while the mangla dam is 76% full at 1,219.40 feet. Rawal levels, Khanpur and Simly Dams have also increased sharply, forcing those responsible to open spills in several tanks to reduce pressure.
High flooding conditions were recorded at the Guddu dam on the Industry river, where the entries exceeded 543,000 brains.
The Sutlej river has also increased at perilous levels, in particular Ganda Singh Wala in Kasur and the Sulemanki head, where the authorities reported moderate to high floods. Officials have linked the growing levels of Sutlej in part to India freeing additional water upstream.
The floods have already overwhelmed thousands of acres of agricultural land, destroying the crops and displaced residents. In the Kasur district, more than 30 villages have lost road access while agricultural land has been flooded. In Pakpattan, flood waters have entered the residential districts, causing mass evacuations.

In Mardan, a person died when a roof collapsed, while in Azad Cashmere, landslides destroyed four houses and a mosque.
Urban centers are also under tension. In Lahore, Torrential Rain overwhelmed Gulberg, Prison Road, Lakshmi Chowk and other regions, with water entering homes and stores.
In Islamabad and Rawalpindi, swollen rivers overflowed in Barakahu, trapping vehicles. Heavy showers in Gujranwala, Gujrat, Jhelum and Chiniot overthrew the food posts and the easements stumbled, disturbing electricity supplies.
