Temporary mobile registration system launched for expatriates

Islamabad:

Foreign Pakistanis can benefit from the mobile registration installation in FBR tax franchise for 120 days compared to each visit under the Federal Policy of the Board of Directors (FBR).

Pakistan Telecommm-Unication Authority (PTA) facilitates this service via its free and automated temporary mobile registration system, available via the Dirbs portal: a press release said.

This module has been introduced for the Pakistani and foreign nationals abroad who do not intend to keep their mobile device in Pakistan and will only apply one mobile handset.

To benefit from this installation, the applicant must provide his identification information, including the passport number, the date of arrival and the departure date, Mobile SIM issued in his name and iMei (s) of the device.

The new system must carry out real -time validation of the FIA border management system (IBMS) to check the applicant’s arrival date.

During 120 days of the applicant’s stay, the IMEIs used under this facilitation will be suspended and will not be used on local network services. In the event that the same applicant visits Pakistan again, he / she must apply again for this temporary facilitation, by reintegrating the identification information that has been used for the 1st or preceding registration as part of this program.

This system will not only facilitate Pakistanis and foreign nationals abroad who arrive in Pakistan in the short term, but will also create a positive image of the country. Likewise, checks introduced as part of this system will ensure that only the real national Pakistanis / foreigner benefits from said installation.
