A Tennessee softball star has come in NCAA records.
Lady Volunteers launcher Karlyn Pickens took the mound on Monday and launched the fastest field in the history of college softball. The historic field of Pickens occurred during the sixth round of the Tennessee match against Arkansas.
His land succeeded at 78.2 MPH.

The previous top speed of Pickens was 77 MPH, which equaled it to the old launcher of Tennessee, Monica Abbott.
Abbott established the brand in the 2012 National Pro Fastpitch match against Carolina Diamonds. Pickens had already launched two throws this season which reached 77 mi / h.

Pickens was questioned at the special time after the 3-2 victory of the Lady Volunteers over the Lady Razorbacks.

“There was a lot of emotions. At first, I was super excited to celebrate this with my team. It is much cool to discover this way to discover at home after the match,” said Pickens via the Knoxville News Sentinel.

Pickens did not give up through his 4.1 rounds on the mound. She also withdrew six Arkansas strikers.
“And then it was a bit emotional. All the work we did as pitching staff, all those who helped me train-it was a really surreal moment. It was really special,” she added.
Pickens won the honors of the launcher of the dry year last season. She has an MPM of 0.86 out of 89.1 rounds.
