The brother of an official to combat terrorism (CTD), himself an agent, was martyred during a terrorist attack at the end of the evening in the district of Bannu of Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa, where heavily armed terrorists stormed the family residence, opened fire and then set fire to the house.
The police told L’Express PK Press Club that around 20 to 25 heavily armed terrorists surrounded the house of CTD Javed and his brother, the gendarme Rafidullah, in the jurisdiction of the police station of Havid late at night.
The attackers opened fire without discrimination. Despite being in numerical inferiority, the REFIDULLAH gendarme resisted and retaliated with remarkable courage. He was mastered and taken with his two nephews.
The three were kidnapped and the terrorists also burned the house before fleeing. Later, Rafidullah was killed and his body was found thrown in open fields. The two boys were still missing.
Shortly after the assault, the district police officer (DPO) Bannu, Saleem Abbas Kulachi, reached the site with a heavy contingent of law enforcement staff. A research operation was launched under its direct supervision to trace and apprehend the attackers.
The Rafidullah agent’s funeral were later detained on Bannu’s police lines with full official honors. A police quota presented an honor guard, while senior officers have placed floral crowns on the martyr coffin. The ceremony brought together the Dig Bannu Sajjad Khan region, SP C CTD Fazal Wahid, SP City Tohid Khan, SP Investigation Sajid Mumtaz, as well as a large number of police, constables and members of the martyr family.
