Texas prosecutor General Ken Paxton launched an investigation into the swimming of the American master’s degree after an event in San Antonio at the end of April saw a trans biologically male competitor winning five female events.
Several competitors told PK Press Club Digital after the competition they did not even know that the Trans athlete was a biological man.
Now, Paxton’s office takes measures, because Texas has a law in place to prohibit Trans athletes from participating in female and girls sports.
“The policy of swimming of the American masters, which allows men to participate in the events of women, is reprehensible and could violate the laws on the protection of consumer of Texas,” said Paxton in an announcement. “Not only is this policy insulting for female athletes, but it also demonstrates a deep contempt for women and can violate the law of Texas. I will fight to stop these unfair policies and never go back to defend the integrity of female sports.”

The trans swimmer, Ana Caldas, 47, dominated the five races in which the athlete contributed, taking gold in the female category of 45 to 49 years in five races, including the breaststroke of 50 and 100 yards, freestyle and individual mixture of 100 yards.
Louisiana’s wife and long -standing swimmer, Wendy Enderle, said that she had applied for the revision of eligibility after discovering that one of the competitors she has met for years was transgender, via a press article from last week’s incident.
Now Enderle is grateful to see Paxton’s office taking measures.
“I was very encouraged by the announcement that the Attorney General of Texas, Ken Paxton, launched an investigation into the American masters swimming after allowing a transgender swimmer to compete unfairly against me and his swimming colleagues last month in San Antonio,” said Enderle News Digital.
The swimmers of women are expressed after having faced a trans competitor without knowing it, fileing the complaint: “I feel betrayed”

Enderle also hopes that the United States Ministry of Justice will also take measures. President Donald Trump has a decree in place since February 5, which has been forcing institutions funded by the public to ban the trans athletes from female sports and girls. However, the USMS is not funded public.
“I hope that the American masters quickly swore a more appropriate and fair policy in accordance with the global aquatic policy. I would also like to see the American prosecutor Pam Bondi examine whether the swimming of the American masters violates the presidential decree number 14201, keeping men outside the female sports, dated February 5, 2025,” added Enderle.
“I am not a legal expert, but I think that the USMS violates this order because they are a sports association and a director specific to sport as referenced in order. Thank you to the great state of Texas for defending women and girls!”
In June 2023, Texas adopted the Save Women’s Sports Act, which prohibits trans athletes from participating in sports of girls and women and only enabled students to participate in the gender category indicated in their birth certificate. The law only allows schools to recognize the modifications made to birth certificates that have been made to correct an office error.

Additional legislation aimed at protecting women from the inclusion trans into sports may also be also promulgated in Texas.
Earlier this month, the Texas Senate voted to adopt the Texas Women’s Privacy Act by a 20-11 vote. The bill guarantees that women are safe in their bathrooms, changing rooms, showers and shelters of domestic violence.
Meanwhile, USMS policy allows transgender swimmers to participate in the gender competition category in which they identify, and they can also be recognized for achievements, if certain conditions are met.

One of the two conditions requires hormone therapy to be properly administered continuously and uninterrupted in a verifiable manner for no less than a year. The other condition is proof of the serum testosterone rates measured in the last twelve months being less than five Nmol / L (144.25 NG / DL).
Trans swimmers who do not meet these requirements can always participate in the women’s category, but their time is removed from the results submitted, and they are not eligible for official times, places, points, files, top 10 or other forms of official recognition.
