The University of Texas of the Austin Department of Athletics has long been announced for its access to apparently unrivaled financial resources.
The Texas Longhorns football program probably maintains among the best – if not the best equipment in the nation.
Since the advent of the name, image and resemblance (Nile), there has been a significant increase in the number of financial resources programs across the United States which has been awarded to football, basketball and other sports.
The Ohio State would have built one of the most expensive lists of the country en route to the January national championship.
Some have said that Texas’ spending before the 2025 campaign was tied or even exceeded the $ 20 million spent by Buckeyes.

Texas coach Steve Sarkisian denied the price of $ 40 million linked to Longhorns.
Sarkisian referred to a recent chronicle of Houston Chronicle which highlighted the Pay list on the Texas list. The column represented the sharing of income and collective payments of Texas Nile. According to the point of sale, income sharing funds totaled $ 20.5 million. The total spent on the football team would have between 35 and 40 million dollars.

Sarkisian suggested that $ 25 million was a more precise figure for Texas’s investment. He also suggested that the figure of $ 40 million was the result of “irresponsible reports”.
“There was an anonymous source that said that was what our list was. I would like to have $ 40 million on our list. We would probably be a little better team than us,” said the coach during a recent appearance on Siriusxm University Radio.
Sarkisian then joined the current landscape of university football.
“The idea of thinking that many other schools do not spend money to get players? This is the state of university football at the moment. That’s what it is,” he said.

Texas has progressed to the university football playoffs in the past two seasons. The Longhorns lost 37-31 against Washington in the semi-final of the 2023-2010 eliminatory series.

After beating Clemson in the first round last season, Texas survived a double extension thriller against Arizona State in the quarter -finals. But Longhorns could not exceed Ohio State in the semi-finals.
“It was a superb race. I would like to have about $ 15 million. We could have a better list,” said Sarkisian.
