The Tezgam Express, traveling from Karachi to Rawalpindi, derailed at Rohri station, with one of his bogies leaving the track.

By receiving the incident report, a crane was sent to the loco hangar to quickly restore the bogie derailed on the track, said Express News.

Rail sources have confirmed that the accident had blocked the track, damaging the rails. Consequently, several trains have been delayed, unable to carry out their destinations.

The Bahauddin Zakariya Express was interrupted at Begamaji station, while Shah Hussain Express, Green Line Express and Fareed Express were arrested in various stations.

Railway managers have launched an investigation into accident and repair work are underway to restore the track and take the train services as soon as possible.

Last month, Shalimar Express, traveling from Lahore to Karachi, derailed near the Shahdara region of the Punjab district.

The derailment, which took place near Barkat Town, narrowly avoided a major disaster, a local news channel reported.

The train, instead of overthrowing a populated area, stuck in the middle of a bridge, preventing other damage.
