A 14 -year -old girl holding American citizenship, who was allegedly removed from the Sundar region in Lahore, was safely recovered from the Jhang district, the police confirmed on Wednesday.
The adolescent girl, identified as Fatima Zahra, would have been attracted and taken by a suspect named Hassan, who has since been placed in police custody and faces accusations of kidnapping, according to Express News.
The case drew immediate attention from the Minister -in -Chief of Punjab, Maryam Nawaz, causing rapid police measures. The Deputy Inspector General (DIG) Survey Zeeshan Raza awarded a specialized team to the case, which led to the successful recovery of the girl and his return to her parents in complete safety.
The abduction was initially reported by the mother’s mother to the Sundar police station. The authorities said the suspect manipulated the minor and transported him to another city.
Using surveillance and monitoring methods, the police retraced the suspect’s movements and located both the suspect and the victim of Jhang.
Dig Raza stressed that a solid prosecution file is being prepared to ensure that the suspect is held responsible. “The protection of lives and property of citizens is our top priority,” he said.
The SSP survey, Muhammad Naveed, announced congratulations certificates for the officers involved in the recovery operation.
