- Lenovo unveils the 3D Thinkbook laptop, a 3D IT -free IT concept without glasses
- He uses 3D directional backlight for a transparent switching between 2D and 3D modes
- 3.2K display aims to improve workflows design, engineering and content creation
For most manufacturers of laptops, the height of innovation deploys devices with powerful AI processors and a co -pilot button, but Lenovo seems to savor the limits and offer users something different, and frankly, I am there for that.
At the MWC 2025, the firm gave us a range of futuristic concepts, including an AI physical assistant and several screens for its Thinkbook 16p Gen 6, and a scary laptop with a fragile appearance with a foldable screen. I would buy it all tomorrow if a) they were available and b) I had the money.
All Lenovo’s ideas cannot be winners, of course, and the 3D Thinkbook laptop could be the one who does not find his brand, which is a shame because it is magnificent. Although I cannot go with him yet, I am quite certain that his key functionality will be breathtaking.

The concept of 3D Thinkbook laptop provides immersive 3D IT to business and creation professionals thanks to a hybrid display without glasses. Lenovo explains that he succeeds thanks to the use of a directional 3D solution which allows users to switch quickly and transparently between 2D and 3D modes, offering realistic depth and precision for digital modeling, content creation and virtual collaboration.
Lenovo tells us that the 3.2K resolution display (3200 × 2000, 100% DCI-P3) offers “great clarity and precision of colors”, which makes it an ideal tool for designers, engineers and media professionals working on complex visual projects.
The 3D Thinkbook laptop is far from being Lenovo’s first attempt to deliver glasses without 3D moon. We reviewed the Thinkvision 27 3D in 2024 and left seriously impressed. You didn’t need to do anything intelligent to see objects in the third dimension – it was a question of sitting in front of the monitor at a normal vision distance and looking at magic.
At the time, we said it was “dear and niche, but this 3D monitor without glasses opens a multitude of exciting possibilities”, and it seems that these promises can be held in the form of this new laptop.
As with the many other concepts that Lenovo has shown in the MWC, there is no word on prices or availability, but I would certainly be interested in seeing how the 3D Thinkbook laptop works on its arrival.
