The 60th defense and the day of the martyrs, the armed forces of Pakistan welcomed the eternal courage of the heroes of the nation, paying tribute sincere to the martyrs and honoring families whose sacrifice remains the foundation of the defense of the country.

Those who run the tribute included Marshal Syed Asim Munnir, Ni (M), HJ, Chief of Staff of the Army; General SAHUH SHAMSHAD MIRZA, Ni, Ni (M), Chairman of the Committee of Chiefs of Staff (CJCSC); Admiral Naveed Ashraf, Ni, nor (M), chief of naval staff; And the chief marshal of the air Zaheer Ahmed Baber Sidhu, ni (M), HJ, chief of air staff.

“On September 6, 1965, embodied the flawless resolution and the unshakable spirit of the Pakistani nation.

“On this historic day, our brave soldiers, with the support of the nation, stood like an insurmountable wall against the flagrant aggression, thwarting the harmful creations of a much higher enemy in arms and numbers.

“The exploits of heroic value and sacrifice have left an indelible message on the sand of time: that a United Nation can never be defeated,” said a statement published by Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR).

The army’s media wing, in its message on this auspicious day, said that the courage of the intrepid heroes of the nation continues to inspire future generations, and that their inheritance will live forever, according to the press release.

“Today, the nation honors and salutes its martyrs, its Ghazis and their resilient families who have offered unrivaled sacrifices for the security of this great country.

“Apart from the resolution standing against external aggression and terrorism, the armed forces have always supported the inhabitants of Pakistan in calamities and natural disasters.”

The armed forces have also expressed determination to extend total support for victims of current floods across Pakistan and celebrate the day with the greatest humility.

“Today, we reaffirm our commitment to maintain the sacred responsibility entrusted to us by the nation.”

He said that the sentries of the country are still vigilant and have prepared to defend the country against all kinds of threats, and any attempt to disturb our harshly won peace will be greeted by an adapted and decisive response.

“May Allah Almighty continue to bless Pakistan with peace, stability and strength. Pakistan armed forces Zindabad, Pakistan Hamesha Paindabad,” the statement concluded.
