- Motorola revealed the Watch Fit motorcycle – a new Android fitness tracker
- It looks a lot like the Apple Watch, but with up to 16 days of battery life
- We had practical time with the watch; Here are our first thoughts
Motorola revealed her new intelligent watch, the Watch Fit motorcycle. Singling a squirt design similar to the Apple Watch, the Watch Fit motorcycle is a slim and light fitness tracker that works with all Android phones, with a large 1.9 inch Amoled screen (topped with hard gorilla glass).
However, unlike the Apple Watch, it could operate up to 16 days in a single load – more than 20 times the battery life of your standard Apple Watch series.
Although the best Apple Watch, the Apple Watch Ultra 2, reaches 36 hours of autonomy, most Apple watches last only 18 hours. This is largely due to the watch running the Watchos operating system swallowed with power. They also pack the goodies that the watch does not do, like a speaker and a microphone to take calls and play alarm sounds.
We do not yet know if the Watch Fit motorcycle will work on Wear OS 5 as a real Android intelligent watch, but from this first look, I doubt it. I imagine that it will be an alternative with low power more like the best fitness trackers, which tend to last approximately a week. Sixteen days is more like the territory of Garmin Watch; A very impressive achievement.
Although it looks like an Apple Watch, there are a few other differences outside the speaker and the missing microphone. On the one hand, there is no digital crown, because Motorola has chosen to include a lateral touch button instead, such as a Fitbit Versa model.
The watch has a GPS on board to follow training sessions such as running, walking and cycling. There is a 5atm water resistance for swimming and an aluminum frame with a plastic back to save on weight (it is only 25 g). Its price and release date are unknown, but on the basis of specifications, we imagine that it will be around the price of an Apple Watch SE 2.

Practical thoughts
Our American mobile publisher Philip Berne had a brief practical time with the Watch Fit motorcycle. He said the following:
“The Motorola Moto Watch Fit has been a surprise launch alongside the last Motorola Razr phones, and it seems definitely more focused on follow -up of the fitness than the features of Smartwatch.
“It looks like and feels like an Apple slim watch, with its squirt form and its square display, and the interchangeable watch groups even look like the design of the Apple watch group. I was surprised that the Watch was lacking a lack of speakers, so it cannot play alarm sounds.
“However, it is pleasant and flat on my arm, it is very light, and it is lasting enough to follow any activity that you would launch on a normal smartwatch, including the 5atm of water resistance. Motorola claims that the Watch Fitch motorcycle will offer 16 days of battery life, so perhaps the cut of these features will have a real advantage for fitness ventilators.”
