Disney Imagineering has done a lot of wonderful things, but BDX droids – alias the trio of droids, sometimes fast, animated and beeps – above the rest as the most adorable and the most fun. They were basic at the Disneyland Galaxy Edge – Galaxy’s Edge West for those who know it – and will soon be approved for intergalactic missions.
Announced at SXSW 2025 during the “The Future of World Building at Disney” panel, BDX droids arrive in other Disney parks worldwide. Disney World, Tokyo Disney Resort and Disneyland Paris will all get an additional dose of Star Wars Fun with the kind authorization of BDX droids.
I am delighted to see Disney World included there – in particular Hollywood studios, because this is where Galaxy’s Edge is. I come from New Jersey and I never went to Disneyland. However, this will give countless people in Florida, Tokyo and Paris a chance to see funny droids in person.

When the BDX Droids were presented for the first time in Disneyland, a droid coach presented them as being built from other parts and they were explorer droids. With the ability to take image analyzes, lower their heads and even play a little dance, they are simply adorable and much less dystopical than the other robots we have seen.
Four heads of head and neck and five on each leg allow the robot to move and balance on a foot. Disney Imagineering also includes several computers, a swapable battery, LED screens behind the eyes, speakers, a flashlight and antennas, among other technologies.
In addition, the Disney Imagineering BDX droids will also be presented in the next Mandalorian and Grogu film, which will be released in theaters on May 22, 2026. You can see photos of them on the shooting of the film above, and in the gallery below.
We will have to see if they are friends or enemies of Grogu and the main character. Time will tell us, but we have a long way to go.

While Rise of the Resistance at Galaxy’s Edge in Disneyland and Disney World is probably the current attraction of Showstopper, Disney’s Giving Humtinglers directs, the attraction of original opening for the field, a long -awaited update.

However, the journey will have a new round and a entirely new theme. Arriving on May 22, 2026, smugglers will have a mandalorian and growled theme. Exactly what it implies must be confirmed, but Disney has announced on stage that the mission would bring you, Mando and Grogu in emblematic places of the Star Wars universe like Cloud City, Tatooine and Endor. It will be an exciting upgrade and will probably breathe new life into attraction.

Fantastic four ‘fantastic, invisible woman, human torch and thing will happen to Disneyland
While the first half of the panel focused on Star Wars, there are good news for Marvel fans. We count every day before The Fantastic Four: First steps arrived in theaters on July 25, 2025.
And if you have met one of the fantasies on your wishes list for some time, you can do this exactly in Disneyland. Arriving in the Tomorrowland section of the Park in the summer of 2025 (from the end of May to early September), you will find new experiences and you will be able to meet the main characters – Fantastic and invisible, human torch and thing.
There will also be another robot, Herbie, making her life debut during these experiences. The main characters will arrive first, while Herbie is still in the course of work with Marvel and Disney Imagineering.
In addition, Robert Downey Jr. appeared alongside Kevin Fiege to discuss the two new attractions arriving at Campus Avengers in Disneyland.
