- It will cost $ 19.99 per month or will be free for Amazon Prime subscribers
- There is not yet any news on availability or international prices
Amazon has just announced its new Alexa assistant more propelled by AI – and we now know the most important details, its prices.
Alexa Plus will cost $ 19.99 per month and will only take place in the United States in the “next weeks”. But the good news for the Prime members is that it will be free if you already have the subscription.
In other words, Alexa Plus will be another key way to attract you to a premium subscription, alongside Amazon music, first -rate games and these incredibly reliable deliveries the next day.
After its initial deployment, Amazon says that the assistant will take place “subsequently in the waves in the coming months” to the owners of the echo echo 8, 10, 15 and 21. If you do not have one, Amazon tells you “have early access to Alexa Plus if you buy one of them today.
Unfortunately, we do not yet know anything about international availability, but we are now at the Alexa event and we will do our best to find out more.
Analysis: Prime could now be obvious
The first rumors of Alexa Plus suggested that it could cost in the region from $ 5 to $ 10 per month (around £ 5 to £ 10 /8 at $ 16). But although this official price is higher than expected, it is now clear that Alexa Plus is clearly a way to push more people to Amazon Prime. In fact, it is currently cheaper to simply get Amazon Prime.
Although there are free free vocal assistants supplied by AI – including the advanced chatgpt vocal mode, which recently came to its free level – none is as closely integrated into smart speakers as Alexa More, and that’s where the new Amazon assistant could cut an audience.
We will have to see how well it works well in practice, but the demos have shown that it was incredibly versatile – offering a powerful integration of smart homes, a capacity to order products or grocery products, book tickets or restaurant reservations and much more.
Amazon says that Alexa Plus will work on almost all the Alexa devices he has published, although early access will start on the emission Echo 8, 10, 15 and 21 – so they are the ones if you want the Try first.
