Ron Washington is a life sentenced to baseball, but some recent health problems will force the manager of Los Angeles Angels to take a little time away from the game.

The director general of Angels, Perry Minasian, announced that the plans for Washington are moving away indefinitely.

“We all know how much [baseball] Is, but some things are larger than baseball, and health is obviously above all, “Minasian said in a statement on Friday.

Ray Montgomery, the team’s benches coach, will take care of the managerial tasks for the Angels match against the Houston Astros on Friday evening.

The Angels did not specify which symptoms of Washington felt, but said that the manager had addressed the team of the clubhouse with Minasian on Friday. Washington had planned to watch the match since the rest of the GM Angel Stadium. Washington has not been made available to the media.

“Wash has not felt good in recent days,” said Minasian. “We want to make sure it is 100% before it is back in canoe and management. How long it will take, I don’t know. I don’t expect it to be too long.

“We all know how important it is for all of us, but health is more important than anything, and, personally, I don’t let it come back in the canoe until I know that it is 100%. Okay? I love the guy too much.”

Washington, which managed the Texas Rangers at consecutive world series in 2010 and 2011, was hired by Minasian before a season in 2024 during which the Angels lost a 99 game franchise record.

The Angels entered the Friday evening match at 36-38, 6½ games behind the Astros of the Al West. The Angels have a 15-6 file in a race, a better percentage of victories of 0.714 in the major league and 5-0 in additional sleeves.
