The armed forces congratulate the nation for the 78th day of independence

The armed forces celebrate the 78th day of Pakistan’s independence with traditional zeal and fervor (August 14) with activities planned across the country. The day’s festivities began with festive messages to the people of the heads of the armed forces.

The marshal of the chief of the army (COAS), the marshal Syed Asim Munir, president of the committee of chiefs of staff, SAHUR Shamshad Mirza, chief of admiral of the naval navy, Naved Ashraf, and the marshal of the air chief Zaheer Ahmad Babar Sidhu, on behalf of the 78th of armed independence.

“While we pay tribute to our founding fathers, we honor their indomitable spirit, their resolved determination and their unrivaled sacrifices under the visionary direction of Quaid-Ezam Muhammad Ali Jinnah, sacrifices that have opened the way for independence. The annual Flypast of Pakistan Air Force featuring fighter planes was scheduled for 1:30 p.m. today.

A ceremony of change of guard took place at the Mausoleum of Quaid-Ezam Muhammad Ali Jinnah in Karachi to mark the anniversary of the day of independence.

The cadets of Pakistan Naval Academy assumed the tasks of the ceremonial guards at the mausoleum, a tradition observed each year on August 14.

The Pakistani navy ceremonial guard included two contingents – one of the sailors and the other of the cadets of Pakistan Naval Academy. The peloton of the sailors was led by Lieutenant Ali Hassan, while the peloton of the cadets was commanded by the captain of the chief cadet Muhammad Zain.

Commander of Pakistan Naval Academy Commodore Tassawar Iqbal was the main guest, while the functions of commander of the parade were exercised by Lieutenant-commander Samiullah.

The Pakistani navy guards presented a national salute in Quaid-Ezam, after which the chief guest inspected the newly deployed guards. Commodore Tassawar Iqbal posed a floral crown at the mausoleum, offered Fateha and recorded his remarks in the visitors’ book.
