General Syed Asim Munnir, Ni (M), military chief of staff (COAS), addressed a gathering of young university and university students, representing young people from all over Pakistan.
During its interaction, COAS encouraged students to aim for excellence in their academic activities and to develop skills that would allow them to contribute positively to the country’s progress. He also shared a perspective on the impact of the external environment on Pakistan, in particular the threat of cross -border terrorism.
The army chief welcomed young people with their energy, his creativity and his ability to innovate, saying that they are the future leaders in Pakistan.
Coas highlighted the role of the Pakistani army in the safeguard of the country’s sovereignty and territorial integrity. He honored the sacrifices of the inhabitants of Pakistan in the fight of the nation against the threat of terrorism, and appreciated their support for the armed forces and the leas.
Stressing the need to impregnate “Pakistaniat”, the Coas stressed the importance of the history, culture and values of Pakistan in the intellectual development of our young people.
