Peshawar:
After the arrival of the sacred month of Ramazan, the inhabitants of Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa are seen struggling with the devastating effects of inflation in arrow, which had a significant impact on their ability to end the meetings daily.
Despite the government which claims to attack the question, the situation remains disastrous, the essential products on the market becoming more and more unaffordable. One of the main reasons for this frantic prices increase is the failure of the price review committee to take measures, which causes soaring prices for naked necessities.
Currently, in Peshawar, the prices of the meat vary from RS1,200 to Rs1 400 per kilogram, while the chicken is sold at a higher Rs506 per kilogram. Likewise, milk prices have also been affected by food inflation, prices per liter ranging from RS230 to Rs240, marking a significant increase compared to the prices observed in previous years.
Shakil Khan, a Peshawar room, shared his two hundred on the Grave comes out of inflation during Ramazan, who, in his opinion, had become an annual trend in recent years.
“Thsaurizers and profiteers benefit from this sacred month, ratifying the billions at the price of the public.
In addition, district administration officials are either concerned about social media platforms such as Tiktok, or make superficial visits in some stores, presenting these actions on Facebook without solving the basic problem, “said Khan.
“In the past, the administration used to organize the” Sasta Bazaars “(cheap markets) during Ramazan where people could buy essential items at reasonable prices, but this year, there is not this type.
Nasim Bibi, a mother of four, revealed that she was a housewife when her husband was a ripe pusher. Nasim’s house barely joined the two ends due to artificial inflation, by which merchants in his region did not adhere to the official price lists and each seller invoiced everything they considered good.
“The increase in the costs of essential articles has made almost impossible to manage the house and take care of my children. There is no feeling of responsibility. Although the government continues to make complaints on relief, we have not yet seen tangible services. The provincial government and the district administration must review their performance and guarantee that the public receives real relief,” she said.
For many households like that of Nasim, the management of household expenditure has become more and more difficult thanks to the looting profiteers of the inhabitants during the blessed season.
Khalid Farooq, a government employee, also expressed his concerns about the recent wave of inflation.
“Private and government workers suffer because a large part of their salary is consumed by public service bills or tuition fees for their children. The district administration must do more to improve their performance and facilitate the financial burden of the public,” said Farooq.
On the other hand, the deputy commissioner of Peshawar, Sarmad Saleem, defended the efforts of the district administration, declaring that they regularly visited markets and took measures against those who violated the official price lists.
“Hundreds of merchants have already been sentenced to a fine for overeating. We urge the public to cooperate with the administration and report any incident of
Price price or violations. We will take the appropriate measures, “he said.
