The Auburn baseball star, Cade Beeuu, crushes the 1st time of season after the mother’s death

Auburn Tigers Cade Belyeu’s voltigger opened the 2025 season with a heavy heart and enormous emotional pressure on his shoulders while the team played the Crusaders of Saint-Croix.

Belyu struck a Home Run solo in sixth round against Holy Cross. It was Belyu and the first home run of the Tigers of the season. It turned out that he played for more than a simple victory at the start of the season.

The mother’s mother in the second year, Staci, died after a battle against breast cancer a few hours earlier. Auburn’s head coach, Butch Thompson, said the team was trying to understand what they were going to do if Belyeu took the night to collect his thoughts.

“He said Staci wanted him to play,” Thompson told Montgomery’s advertiser. “I think it was the most inspiring thing we have never seen. Our crowd is simply incredible. They absolutely felt and knew what was going on with him. … an inspiration from Cade Beeu.”

Auburn won the 4-1 game. The Tigers finally finished the series, taking two out of three from Holy Cross.

Belyu had 6 out of 12 on the plate against the crusaders during the weekend. He struck his only circuit stroke and had two points produced in the victory of the series. He also had five stolen bases.

Auburn is back in action Tuesday against Troy.

The 3-footer 3-inch aerobatman was appointed to the All-Freshman team of the dry last season.

Auburn finished 27-26 last season and finished 8-22 against the dry opponents. The team did not make the playoffs.
