- The GameCube classics are heading for the Nintendo 2 switch
- The first three titles are Zelda’s legend: Wind Waker,, Caliber of the soul 2, And F-Zero GX, to come on June 5, 2025
- Other games like Pokémon Colosseum, Luigi’s mansionAnd Pokémon XD: Gale of darkness
The direct event of Nintendo Nintendo Switch 2 overflowed with game outings, but forget Mario Kart WorldThe New from FromSoftware Duskbloods And this sweet five seconds of Silk song Images for a minute and join me to celebrate the two greatest real ads: Pokémon Colosseum And Pokémon XD: Gale of darkness Hit the new console (alongside other gamecube games).
With limited opportunities to capture and train your Pokémon Companions adding a real challenge compared to the basic series, combined with incredible music and a unique plot, these benefits are my favorite overall Pokémon series.
And after having hurt my copy of Gales of darkness (which is very expensive to replace on the secondary market) I am more excited to be able to replay these two titles again soon.
To watch
They are published via a new addition of GameCube to the Nintendo Switch Online +extension pack. This extended version of the online subscription includes access to the DLC and the exclusive console game libraries (including the N64 and Gameboy Advance) for $ 49.99 / £ 34.99 $ 59.95 in per year.
The only drawback for Pokémon The fans are that, although these two best class benefits have been confirmed as being launched on the service at a given time, they will not be available during the launch of the new console.
Instead, Zelda’s legend: Wind Waker,, Caliber of the soul 2, And F-Zero GX Will be the first Trio of GameCube titles to press the service on the launch date of Switch 2.
One thing to note is that it seems that the original Nintendo Switch players with a Nintendo Switch Online + extension pack will not be able to access these GameCube titles. Instead, the GameCube expansion will be exclusive to the last Nintendo console.
Complete the gamecube configuration
To capture the authentic GameCube experience, Nintendo announced that he was publishing a wireless gamecube controller (with the new C) for £ 58.99 (probably about $ 75 depending on exchange rates; Nintendo has not yet confirmed an American price).
It will only be available via the Mynintendo online store, and – to make things more frustrating – you can only pre -order one if you are an online member of Nintendo Switch, and initially it will only be “offered to those invited to pre -order a Nintendo Switch 2 console” according to the Mynintendo UK store.
This is probably a decision to prevent scalpers from sucking all the stock before someone else can react, so be ready to jump in some hoops if you want to get this GameCube Switch 2 accessory.
