- Now a brief was found on the last beta UI 7
- There is no user interface, so the fetor cannot be used correctly
- His presence suggests he can come to older phones with an IU 7
For many, the best new Samsung Galaxy S25 feature is now brief, but for a while, it has appeared that the functionality would remain exclusive to the latest version of Samsung, even if one UI 1 takes place on other phones. Fortunately, it seems that some older phones will now become brief after all.
Now Brief is a practical IA tool that prepares you for the day to come with useful information like the events you have today, what travel times look like to avoid being late, how well you are based on data from your smart watch and that if the coupons of your digital wallet are close to expiring.
This will even give you different briefings based on the moment you check (with morning, afternoon and evening briefs, focusing on different information), and our own senior writer Ai John-Anthony Disotto now calling “precisely the type of first part functionality which, I think, will make a real difference for the life of users and, in turn, show the real power of AI”.
To watch
Unfortunately, the function was absent from one UI 7 software beta currently available for older devices such as Samsung Galaxy S24, Galaxy S23, Galaxy Z Fold 6 and Galaxy Z Flip 6.
It led a lot to believe that it would not be unlocked for these phones, but it turns out that brief is hidden in the beta ui one after all.
It was according to @ Metcan88 which managed to access the hidden function on an S24 performing the last beta of IU 7 (via Samobile, which confirmed that it was also available on other devices).
Rupture. Now a brief feature is available in S24 series. Onei 7 Beta 6 is also hidden but I discovered with Activity Launcher. @Tarunvats33 @Sambobiles @theonecid @universeice pic.twitter.com/uvlohzojauMarch 31, 2025
However, this did not work completely, the hiding place has now had a user interface necessary to function properly.
So what does that mean? Well, the optimist among us hopes that it means that now brief will reach older devices. However, since the full version should start on April 7, it may be a feature that is not published for some update cycles.
The more pessimistic look is that Samsung has hidden this feature because it may have thought of publishing now brief, but finally decided to keep it exclusive to its new phones – and it was easier to hide now in short than to completely delete it from an IU 7.
We will have to wait and see what is announced as a user interface 7 arrives on older phones and in the next updates, but there is always a chance that the best Samsung Galaxy S25 S25 functionality will go to older phones – and we seriously hope.
