- La Ninja Luxe Café Premier Premier Espresso Machine is available in two new colors
- In addition to money, you can now choose black or cyber space (navy blue)
- Luxury Café Premier Edition has assisted sabotage to reduce the waste
Ninja gave its best rated espresso machine a new look for August, with two new color options. In addition to the original money, the Ninja Luxe Café Premier is now in smart black with a satin finish and a nuance of navy blue called cyber space.
We have given the Ninja Luxe Café Original a score of four and a half stars out of five when we revised it last year thanks to its versatility and its ease of use, and it has been seated well in my overview of the best coffee makers since. It can prepare both espresso and drip coffee, and even make a cold handle with an authentic taste – and it is refreshing to use.
The first edition goes a step further than the original, with a guided sabotage which means that you do not have to remove the handle of Portafilter under the crusher to buffer it. Instead, simply remove the lever on the left side of the machine and it will press the coffee in a washer carefully formed for you, without a mess.
It is similar to the system used by the Sage Barista impressed, requiring only a minimum pressure on the lever to buffer coffee evenly, and just as satisfactory.
Turn to the dark side
We have seen a trend for more natural colors in household appliances this year, starting with the announcement of Kitchenaid that a soft yellow called butter would be its 2025 color. Kitchenaid also launched a moussu green mixer with a walnut wood bowl, while SMEG gave its espresso machines a new look with a milder shade of creamy white and Breville Olders and a look with a softer look.
The modern black and marine machines of Ninja with silver accents go against the grain, but according to my colleagues of houses and gardens, Chrome Hardware makes a return, so perhaps is ahead of the curve.
