A bill in this regard has been presented to the Provincial Assembly. Similarly, the Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa Code of Criminal Procedure Bill, the Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa Universities Bill, the Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa Sharia Regulation Bill and the Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa Public Management Bill Pakhtunkhwa 2025 were also tables at home.

The Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI)-led provincial government had decided to reject government employees recruited by the Guardian government. The Provincial Cabinet approved the decision and assigned the responsibility of collecting recruitment details of all departments to the Law Minister.

According to sources, up to 8,000 recruitments were identified in details provided by various departments, including the police and health services.

The provincial government has prepared a bill for the immediate withdrawal of these employees which was presented to the Assembly on Friday.

The bill prepared for the dismissal of employees has been named the Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa Employees Dismissal of Service Bill 2025.

According to the legislation, employees who had been recruited illegally by the guardian government will be dismissed from their jobs. After the approval of the bill, relevant institutions and departments will issue notifications for the rejection of employees.

The bill states that a six-member committee will be formed under the chairmanship of the Establishment Secretary which will include the Defender General, Law, Finance and Administration and other relevant secretaries.

The committee will also examine possible complications arising in this regard.

The provincial government also presented the Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa Regulatory Force Bill 2025 in the House. Under the bill, a regulatory force will be created to implement regulatory laws in various sectors and prevent their violations, with its headquarters in Peshawar.

The Force will have broad powers like those given to police officers and will implement laws on environmental protection, food safety, price controls and other regulatory sectors, and prevent their violations.

Regulatory force units will be established in each district of the province which will be headed by a Director General (DG) with a tenure of three years.

The chief minister could, however, appoint the DG for a shorter or longer period.
