The BNP-M protest continues on the 7th day

Quetta:

The Balutchistan National-Mégal Party (BNP-M) continued its long march for the seventh consecutive day in the Lak Pass region in Mastung, with the leader of the Sardar Akhtar party Jan Mangal leading the demonstration.

The demonstration aims to demand the release of Mahrang Baloch, the chairman of the Committee for the missing persons, as well as several other political workers who would have been submitted to applied disappearances.

The leaders of various political parties, including Pakistan Tehreek-e-insaf (PTI), the central chief Salman Akram Raja and the main politician Sardar Latif Khosa, joined the sit-in to express their solidarity with the cause of BNP-M. They condemned the alleged disappearance in Balutchistan and urged the government to take immediate measures to recover the missing people.

Meanwhile, the Internet services remain suspended in Quetta and several other parts of Balutchistan. Official sources have cited security problems as well as the disruption.

However, BNP-M managers and demonstrators believe that the used breakdown on the Internet is an attempt to remove the coverage from the current demonstration.

Meanwhile, the Jamhoori Wattan Party (JWP) has also extended its support to the long walk of the mengal. Nawabzada party leader Gohram Bugti announced a gathering of his hometown of Dera Bugti in Quetta and Mastung, scheduled for Friday (today), more amplifying pressure on the authorities to resolve the issue of missing people.

Last Friday, the BNP-M announced a long Wadh step in Quetta to protest against the arrests of the leaders and activists of the Baloch Yakjehti committee (BYC), including Dr. Mahrang Baloch and Sammi Deen Baloch, as well as the repression of the police on their sitta sit. Sammi was released on Tuesday.
