- The British government presents a new code of practice of AI
- The voluntary framework will help guide companies using AI
- Business protection hopes to increase growth and productivity
The British government has introduced a new “AI cybersecurity standard” which hopes to help protect its increasingly important digital economy.
The new “code of practice” aims to give public services and businesses the “confidence they need to exploit the transformer potential of AI in complete safety”. This is a voluntary structure and includes principles such as securing your supply chain, monitoring system behavior and threats and risk management for AI systems.
This promises to constitute the basis of a “new global standard” for a secure AI, and represents a major step to “cement the position of the United Kingdom as a world leader in safe innovation”, and is accompanied by the Recent Master Plan of the British government to “ trigger AI “with a 50 -point plan to push AI in all corners of British industry.
Growth and productivity
Cyberattacks hit British companies more than ever, and almost half of all organizations have experienced an attack or violation in the past 12 months. By adopting these principles, companies can strengthen their cyber-defenses and receive advice on best practices.
The United Kingdom AI sector attracts “millions of hours,” said the government, and the government estimated that support for cyber skills could increase the cybersecurity industry by 11.9 billion pounds Sterling, which will help stimulate growth and stimulate productivity for the British economy.
“It is essential that we operate the transformer potential of AI in full safe so that our company could take advantage of the advantages of new technologies without introducing avoidable vulnerabilities and cyber-risk,” said Ollie Whitehouse, Director of Technology NCSC.
“The United Kingdom opens the way by establishing this safety standard, strengthening our digital technologies, benefiting the global community and strengthening our position as the safest place to live and work online.”
