There will be no more quarterback moves for the Cleveland Browns for the remainder of the 2025 season, as Shedeur Sanders will remain the team’s starter for the next four games.

Head coach Kevin Stefanski told reporters that he has seen Sanders “consistently and consistently improve in each of these games,” as he started the last three games after fellow teammate Dillon Gabriel suffered a concussion in Week 11 against the Baltimore Ravens.

“He’s worked really hard. I’m happy with the direction his development is going,” Stefanski said of Sanders. “He knows there will always be games where he could be better and that sort of thing, but he intends to get better every game he plays.”

Sanders became the first Browns quarterback to earn his first-ever start in the league after helping defeat the Las Vegas Raiders for Cleveland’s third win of the season.

And while Sanders completed 64 percent of his passes against the San Francisco 49ers in his first home start, the Browns couldn’t see the same win on their record at the end of that contest.

BROWNS COACH FIRES FURY AS SHEDEUR SANDERS SITS DURING CRUCIAL 2-POINT TRY

Sanders made his third straight start Sunday in sloppy conditions in Cleveland against a lowly Tennessee Titans team that beat them 31-29, to pick up just their second win of the year.

During the game, Stefanski drew the ire of Sanders fans when the quarterback was off the field for a two-point conversion try despite throwing a touchdown pass to tight end Harold Fannin Jr. Stefanski, instead, attempted a wild play with rookie running back Quinshon Judkins leading the way. The play ultimately didn’t work and fans were left wondering what could have happened if Sanders was in the game.

“The Browns take out Shedeur constantly in 2-goal situations and going wild needs to be studied,” Shannon Sharpe wrote on X. “He’s on the SL. It’s bulljive.”

Skip Bayless even called for Stefanski to be taken down after seeing what happened at the end of the match.

“SHEDEUR TO FANNIN FOR THE CLUTCH TD – THEN STEFANSKI TAKES OUT SHEDEUR FOR THE WILDCAT – DISASTER. STEFANSKI MAKES ANOTHER PLAY. HE JUST COULD NOT SEE SHEDEUR TIING THE PLAY WITH A 2-POINT CONVERSION AFTER SUCH A LONG TD DRIVE. FIRE STEFANSKI!”

Sanders was impressive despite the losing result, going 23 of 42 for 364 passing yards with three touchdowns and his first career rushing score.
